BCoS Digital Celebret

Welcome to the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland Digital Celebret system.

This system is intended to enable parishes and organisations to check the status of any priest or deacon who is incardinated in a Diocese currently registered with this system.

Currently the following Dioceses are registered with the system:

  • Diocese of Galloway
  • Diocese of Motherwell

Instructions for Use

To verify the status of any priest or deacon, please scan the QR code on the reverse of their Clergy ID card or paper celebret and enter the password shown. You will then be able to check whether the person has faculties to minister, and whether they are approved to celebrate Mass.
